
Follett Higher Education Named New Campus Retail Partner to Johns Hopkins University
Enhanced campus store experience and best-in-class technology improvements will equip students with the support and resources needed for a successful academic career
WESTCHESTER, Ill. and BALTIMORE, Md., June 30, 2025 – Follett Higher Education, the largest campus retailer in North America, has been named the exclusive campus retail partner of Johns Hopkins University.

The partnership will immediately bring an improved visual merchandising experience, along with an enhanced focus on showcasing products from local community vendors both in-store and online. Additionally, the improved university bookstore will feature an expanded technology section, including authorized Apple products and services to better meet students’ tech needs.
Kolady added, “By featuring local Baltimore businesses and vendors prominently in-store and online, we’re creating a campus hub that embraces and reflects the community surrounding Johns Hopkins. Our focus is on crafting environments where students, faculty, alumni, and visitors feel connected to both the university and its local partners.”
Follett’s partnership with Johns Hopkins brings the right merchandise, community vendors, cutting-edge technology, and innovative solutions to serve the Blue Jay community – anytime, anywhere. The Follett experience will be extended to Johns Hopkins’ online campus store, offering access to classroom materials, apparel, technology, and more. Visitors to the campus store can expect to see changes throughout the summer, including the relocation of the JHU Tech Store to the campus store space. A larger-scale renovation of the campus store is anticipated during the summer of 2026.
As part of the transition, course material purchases will be moved online, and students will have easy and direct access to all materials with the option for direct delivery or store pickup. Online shoppers can find an expanded assortment of merchandise – beyond what’s offered in store – and enjoy 24/7 access to the products and course materials they need.
