Follett Donates $100,000 in Scholarships to 2017 All-USA Community College Academic Team

Each All-USA team member to receive $5,000 toward their educational pursuits

NEW ORLEANS, LA., Apr 24, 2017Follett Higher Education, in partnership with Phi Theta Kappa, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2017 All-USA Community College Academic Team. Follett will donate $100,000 in scholarships, translating to $5,000 for each of the 22 All-USA team members. Follett’s ongoing relationship with Phi Theta Kappa and sponsorship of the All-USA team stems from a shared commitment to helping students overcome obstacles and achieve what may have seemed out of reach.

The All-USA program is widely recognized as the most prestigious academic honor for students attending community college. Each college may nominate two students for showing intellectual rigor and for demonstrating academic achievement, leadership and civic growth. The program also recognizes students who extend their community college education to better themselves, their schools and their surrounding communities.

“This program recognizes the potential of these students to change the world through their inspired pursuit of learning and growth, no matter the challenges they face,” said Pat Usher, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Follett Higher Education. “We are pleased to help these deserving students with support that can make their education goals more accessible and affordable – both of which are core to Follett’s mission.”

The 2017 All-USA Community College Academic Team is sponsored by Follett Higher Education Group with additional support is provided by Phi Theta Kappa and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).
