Follett has announced the hiring of David Schroeter as its new Senior Vice President of Sales and Customer Service. Schroeter joins Follett after spending the past 12 years with Gale, a part of Cengage Learning. He most recently served Gale as Senior Vice President of Sales.
Schroeter originally joined Cengage (then Thomson Learning) in 2003 as Regional Sales Director for Gale’s School Division. He was promoted to his most recent position one year ago. Throughout his tenure with the company, he was promoted to other sales and management positions within Cengage. Schroeter also has held sales positions with Siebel Systems, BigChalk.com, and ProQuest Information and Learning.
“I’ve worked with and known Dave for many years, and he will be a perfect addition to our team at the right time,” said Nader Qaimari, Executive Vice President for Follett Corporation and General Manager for Follett School Solutions. “He brings the energy and expertise we're looking for as we forge ahead with exciting new customer service goals.” Qaimari joined Follett in 2014, also from Cengage Learning, where he was Gale’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
A native of Fostoria, Ohio, Schroeter graduated with a master’s degree in student personnel from Eastern Michigan University. He earned his bachelor’s degree from University of Toledo. Schroeter and his wife, Melissa, have three sons, Sam (17), Joey (15) and Charlie (12).
